About PDF to JPG Converter
Draws each page of a PDF as a JPG image. Pick 1x, 2x or 3x (72, 144 or 216 dots per inch) and a quality from 1 to 100, optionally type the pages you want, and download one image per page, or all of them in a ZIP. JPG files are much smaller than PNG, which helps when you will email the pages, post them to a site with a size limit or keep many pages of a scan. The trade is that JPG is lossy: low quality shows blur and speckle around small text. Pages are drawn on a white background. Everything runs in your browser with PDF.js, so the PDF is never uploaded.

PDF to JPG Converter FAQ
Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
No. The pages are drawn in your browser by PDF.js, the open-source PDF reader from Mozilla, and nothing is sent to a server. You can confirm this in your browser's network tab.
What quality should I choose?
90 is a good start: sharp text with a file far smaller than PNG. Go down to 70 or 80 for smaller files when the pages are photos, and up to 95 or more when small text must stay clean. Below about 60, blocky artifacts show around letters.
Should I use JPG or PNG?
Use JPG for photos, scans and anything you will share where file size matters. Use PNG for slides, charts and pages that are mostly text or line art, because it stays perfectly sharp. PDF to PNG does that.
Which size should I pick, 1x, 2x or 3x?
2x (144 dpi) suits screens and most uses. 1x is for small previews. 3x (216 dpi) is for printing or zooming in. Each step makes the image about four times larger in pixels.
Can I convert only some pages?
Yes. Type a range such as 1-3, 5, 8- in the Pages box, where 8- means page 8 to the end. Leave it blank to convert every page. The chosen pages are labelled in the preview.
Why is the text in the JPG not selectable?
A JPG holds pixels, not text. The words are part of the picture. If you need the text, use PDF to Markdown, or keep the PDF.
Is there a limit?
One PDF up to 100 MB, up to 100 images at a time and about 400 MB of images in total, because the work happens in your device's memory. Very large pages are drawn smaller to stay under about 36 megapixels, and the result says so. Password-protected and damaged files are refused.
