About PDF Tools

Work with PDF files without installing anything. Merge several PDFs into one and drag them into order, split a PDF by page range or into chunks of a set number of pages, or pull out just the pages you need.

Convert in both directions between PDF and images. Turn JPG or PNG pictures into a PDF with your choice of page size and margins, or save every page of a PDF as a JPG or PNG image. Files are processed in your browser and are not uploaded, so you can use them with documents you would rather not send to a server.

Questions

Are my PDF files uploaded anywhere?

No. The PDF tools read and build files in your browser, and nothing is sent to a server. You can confirm this in your browser's network tab.

Can I merge or split a password-protected PDF?

No. Encrypted PDFs are rejected with a clear message rather than producing a damaged file. Remove the password in the program that created the file first.

Should I save PDF pages as JPG or PNG?

Use PNG for text, screenshots and line art, where it stays sharp and lossless. Use JPG for pages that are mostly photographs, where the files come out much smaller.
